The Ivory Oak – Wimberley, Texas
As I sat down arranging my papers at a local coffee shop on a cool January morning, I was anxious to meet Tucker and Emily for the first time and hear more about their big day. Our communication up to that point had been through email and I always look forward to sitting over a cup of coffee with the bride and groom to get to know their story. What I didn’t realize is that I was about meet the sweetest couple and we’d work together through uncertainty and reschedules over the next several months. Tucker, a Baylor Bear, and Emily, an Aggie told me how they met on an internship one summer in college. Although the internship was a flop for a career choice, the two had been inseparable ever since.
The original wedding date in April was rescheduled to June and it landed on a bright and beautiful summer day. Family and friends gathered to celebrate the bride and groom under the live oak trees of The Ivory Oak. Both the ceremony and the reception was held outside and allowed space for guests to enjoy all the areas the venue offers. Hundreds of flowers and lights were woven throughout the trees making the day feel like a fairytale.
Enjoy this peak into Emily and Tucker’s gorgeous day.
Best wishes Emily and Tucker on a life filled with JOY!
Favorite details of the day: Emily and her mom’s friendship that was so evident through planning and the big day; the Shirley Temple bar cart in the bridal suite; the HUNDREDS of flowers woven all throughout the venue (The Flower Girl knocked it out of the park); Emily’s sweet words to Tucker’s mom right before the ceremony (made this boy mom cry); the bride’s grandfather who prayed the blessing and spoke words of wisdom over the couple at the reception; and the live fashion sketching during cocktail hour and the reception.
